CTM festival Berlin 2018
GET YOUR NERD OUT
In the first weeks of the year, fans of electronic and experimental music have a go-to event. For two decades the winter blues is eased each year by CTM (formerly club transmediale), a festival for adventurous music and art. The week-long festival takes place in different venues and combines cutting edge electronic music with a programme of performances, discussions, panels and art exhibitions.
The trailer of this year’s edition gives you a glimpse of the raw and rebellious sound the festival goes for. The events take place in venues and clubs all over Berlin, among them Berghain and Panorama Bar. With its mix of established and upcoming artists, the festival never disappoints those who look for new sounds and new forms of artistic expression. This year’s topic is turmoil and the program reads like a crash course in musical rebellion.
One of the many concert nights, that the festival hosts, will take place at the historical Funkhaus. With a special, one of a kind 4D-sound system, Berlin’s institute for sound presents MONOM. Noise-artist Pan Daijing and experimental producer Fis, will make use of the mighty tool and it’s 48 speakers for two installments of a live performance.
CTM festival takes place from 26th of January to the 4th of February 2018
