My very first show at NYFW was GCDS, which stands for "Good Can't Destroy Streetwear" wich basically stet the theme for the week. New York is loving everything streetwear, urban, and ath leisure and no where is it as authentic as here.

When I went to the Saks Fifth Avenue-Event, I definitely did not expect a red carpet situation, with spotlights, and a bunch of tourists. Each window showed designers' most beautiful pieces from CHANEL to VALENTINO on mannequins as well as models.

The PARTY

…was celebrating to
re-opening of the 3rd floor, where Goldfrap performing and the 3D Photo Booth made it my favorite event of the week.

Of course the runway is also be a place where current political issues are a topic, like BEVZA showing versions of bullet-proof vests.

Discovering the brand STUDIO ONE EIGHTY NINE was my absolute highlight. This brand was not launched to make more clothes, but to empower women in Africa, creating jobs and education for kids. The beautiful and fun clothes are made of organic cotton, grown, traditionally hand-printed, and naturally died in Africa.

Claudia Li’s presentation on the last day was a good example of what’s to come for Spring Summer 2018.
