Texture to touch
Unfinished sexiness and a bit of a rock-vibe were part of the hair styling at VERSUS VERSACE’s show. Inspired by broken perfection Eugene created a looks, which reminds of hair after a wild night out partying. The tool he used was texture. Some parts of the hair he kept natural, others were precisely arranged - but still seemed to be (perfectly) undone.

Pilgrims of the Victorian times: That was the starting point of Eugene’s creation for PREEN BY THORNTON BREGAZZI's’s show for Spring/Summer 2018. As the liberation of women was the force behind the collection, the hair also had to reflect that topic. Eugene therefore created a style, which reminds of a stranded person: unwashed, weather-exposed and as if a hat that was there before was now missing. A ruffled look, with an emphasis on the beginning of a new era.

ACNE STUDIOS presented a collection full of statement looks. Each one of them were standing for themselves - piece by piece, model for model. This was also the challenge for Eugene: Creating looks one by one, that all together fit and also could stand for one alone – or like Eugene describes it: totally french and effortless. The style was therefore just visible in it’s beginning. The cool vibe was all through transported by looks inspired by many sources like The Ramones, Tarantino’s movies andthe pre-Raphaelites.
Theatrical and performance-like shows are THOM BROWNE’s métier. That’s why the Place de l’Hotel De Ville was chosen as the place of his presentation and gave the perfect scenery for his futuristic set with artful planets that hung from the ceiling. The models appeared as fabulous creatures, also thanks to the great hair styling Eugene created: „At first Thom wanted the models to look like bald-heads. So that’s where I started.“ Inspired by one of his favourite artists, Allen Jones, Eugene then created a glittery layer look with several laid parts and a shimmery finish on top of it.
