Sunday SCENT N°6

This perfume is the perfect example of why I love fragrances so much; APSU is definitely the next stroke of genius by the great nose ULRICH LANG. The talented German perfumer and New Yorker by choice proves once more that he is one of the most inspiring scent artists of the century. This is why I was so happy to finally hold this new piece of art in my hands and have the chance to share my personal impression of it with you:

This scent reminds me of: nothing I’ve ever had in my nose before. Beside the new floral note that almost feels like it’s hypnotizing me, it doesn’t feel unfamiliar. Somehow, this fragrance makes me feel at home, but inspired by something totally new ...

What it feels like: I’ve just come back from my holidays. That means: sun, sea, salt and nature still flood my olfactory memory. APSU is the perfect reflection of these scents in an urban context. Just like homecoming … On the one hand it reminds of pure leaves, almost like a secret tropical garden, but with a subtle elegance which takes you much further than just into unknown woods, leaves and flowers … it feels like travelling beyond the borders of usual floral scents - back home, where you find a solid, wooden base.

For: The extraordinary EAU DE TOILETTE SPRAY is not a fragrance for just anyone. It yearns for the love of beauty and a passion for fragrances. Men or women – gender doesn’t matter in this case. What matters is love at first sight (or smell), because this is what this creation is made for: for intuitive addiction.

Side note: A wonderful green and woody unisex creation, which totally stands for the Trademarks of the perfumer Ulrich Lang: a clever artwork that combines clarity, complexity and simplicity in a single product. The packaging is inspired by the photography of the US-artist Matthew Porter, who’s managed to strike the heart of clarity and the perfection of nature with his work.

Available at: for € 95 (100ml Eau de Toilette).
